Truth No One Has Told You About Breast Milk

It’s no doubt that most moms believe that when weaning a baby, the breast milk becomes sour within the next twenty-four hours. That’s not true. There is no report or research to prove it.

So how come about this myth or what is termed ‘superstitious’? Well, I want you to know that your breast milk does not get sour when weaning your baby. It still and will always remain fresh a d healthy for as long as you choose to skip breastfeeding. If actually you think breast milk is going to get sour, how about the negative effects that your body will have? Of course, your entire system will take ill.

The good news is that you can skip breastfeeding for as long as you want but nothing bad will happen to it. Your quitting breastfeeding will only result to reduction of milk production in a few days before it completely runs out supply.

To clear your doubts as some of you will not believe what I’m talking about, I did a research myself on whether breast milk go sour if left untouched. I tried it with my kids by skipping breastfeeding them for twenty-four hours apart. I felt my breasts becoming engorged but I wanted to see how a soured breast milk would like before attempting to resume nursing.

Can I shock you? There was no bad smell of it. No bad taste of it. No unusual changes in colour in the milk. It was as fresh as ever😀. Whoever that told you that breast milk becomes poisonous within twenty-four hours of not nursing your baby with it hasn’t done a proper research to prove it.

Shouldn’t it surprise you that even if breast milk gets sour we won’t be healthy. Think about how the toxins from the supposed soured breast milk would begin to ravage our cells and entire organs.

So, the next time a person tells you that breast milk gets sours if left untouched for twenty-four invite her to read this article or you can send the link so she can be enlightened.

Remember, our body produces milk for our babies when lactation is in process, and at the same time have the capacity to reduce producing when weaning takes place.

Should you choose to wean your baby once and for all, be ready to face the painful effects such as; engorged breasts, aches, inability to lift up your hands, pains and fever. In this case, a pain relieve drugs may be required to subside the effects.

If you are phobia to face the above mentioned side effects like me, you can choose to reduce breastfeeding your baby in a gradual process until your body stops producing milk on its own. There is no side effect in this particular method. Your breast will become light when weaning is complete and you will have no reason to experience an excruciating pains.
